Announcing the Opinicon Rideau Lakes Summer Series: 35+ New Artworks
I’m thrilled to announce my Opinicon Rideau Lakes Summer Series, launching this June and continuing throughout the summer! This collection features over 35 brand-new paintings inspired by the stunning lakes, the big sprawling skies, granite shorelines, and vibrant forests of the Rideau Lakes region.
Each piece captures the energy and emotion of Ontario’s cottage country in my signature high-contrast palette—where electric pinks, deep purples, and bold blues bring these iconic landscapes to life. Each painting is meant to reflect the warmth, energy, and atmosphere of summer.
This summer series will be on display at The Opinicon, a historic resort that has welcomed travelers since the late 1800s. Nestled on Opinicon Lake in the heart of the Rideau Canal system—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—The Opinicon has long been a beloved summer destination for generations of Canadians, Americans, and visitors from around the world. Its beautifully restored buildings and lush grounds make it a perfect backdrop for art celebrating the canal’s natural beauty. Best of all, The Opinicon is just 1.5 hours from Ottawa and 45 minutes from Kingston, making it an ideal day trip to experience history, art, and the beauty of the Rideau.
Visiting The Opinicon is the perfect way to spend a beautiful summer day: explore over 35 new artworks, stroll the historic grounds, and relax on the iconic patio overlooking the lake. And don’t forget to treat yourself to the Opinicon’s famous ice cream—an absolute must on a warm day!
Come for the art, stay for the patio, and soak in the rich history of this amazing location. I can’t wait to share this summer adventure with you all.

Welcome to STUDIO A – Where Art Meets the Shoreline
As summer unfolds across Eastern Ontario, I’m excited to share something truly special: I’ll be exhibiting with three remarkable artists—Adele Webster, Dan Hughes, and Michelle Reid—as part of this year’s Rideau Lakes Studio Tour.
This weekend during the Rideau Lakes Studio Tour at Together, we’ve formed a group we’re calling Studio A— you’ll find four artists brought together by a shared love of nature, light, movement, and story. Each of us approaches our work differently, yet we’re united by a deep connection to the landscapes that surround us. From brushstrokes to lens work, we’re all trying to capture something essential about what it means to live and create in this part of the world.
Studio A—Stop “A” on the tour map—is located next to Davis Lock (Google MAP), a historic gem along the Rideau Canal. It’s one of the most peaceful, inspiring spots I know. You can drive in, paddle in, or dock your boat—there’s plenty of space. We'll have our work on display, some live demonstrations, and a chance to simply sit, talk, and take in the view. Yes, there will be cold drinks too.
This is more than an art show—it’s a celebration of what happens when community, creativity, and place come together
