Hey Ottawa!! We are in this month's edition of Ottawa at Home magazine! We are always grateful for exposure and this nice story captures the essence of the work right now. Andrew has been invited to be part of the Wall Candy NOIR Fine Art Event scheduled for October 21-22, 2022 in the Horticulture Building at Lansdowne Park! This is a great honour to be accepted to an event that invites over 50 established artists from Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa and the places in between. First Solo Vernissage
Only two short weeks ago, we hosted my first solo art show (see video below). It was a humbling experience let me tell you. I was amazed at the response and the genuine interest in my work. My new "Small Cabins" series is previewing at the Kingston SQ Foot Art Show
I am very excited to share with you that I will be participating the Kingston Square Foot Art Show in mid-October. So, what is a SQ Foot Show? Here is a sneak peak of what you can expect.
Quite simply: it’s original art in just one-foot-square dimensions (12x12). The Square Foot Show held online and at the Tett Center in Kingston, Ontario from October 15-17. The show will highlight over 100’s of pieces and 25+ artists, ranging from the well experienced to brand new artists. The variety is impeccable with several different mediums including, photography, watercolour, acrylic, oil, etc.

Launch of "Small Cabins" series
Ottawa based Andrew D Milne sketches and paints local cabins and their surroundings in his series, “Small Cabins.” The first sketches were done back in 2014 - an ink sketch of Slys Cabin in a nearby bay. I thought it was interesting to see how these classic little cabins melted into the lake and the land around them,” he describes. “Shortly after I started noticing cabins more and more, and became interested in the relationship of the cabins to the world behind and surrounding it.

Charming, handsome and brilliant, Lt. Col. Booth was a somewhat notorious member of the Seigniory Club - now the Chateau Montebello – where celebrated visitors included the Vanderbilts. The legendary antics of both J.R. and his second wife Elizabeth Jane were apparently too much for even the famous frolicking Club members. He was said to swing from the chandeliers while his wife would swim in the fountains. He cut a dashing figure around the Ottawa in the ‘20s and ‘30s, owning one of the city’s first automobiles and even more rare then – a plane. One of his many capers, the story goes, was to fly beneath a nearby inter-provincial bridge that connected Ontario to Quebec.

Now and then.. My Creative Ramblings.
This have been long time coming…not the website but actually showing, selling and displaying my current work and collection. My work has always been inspired by my love and observations of the world around me. Nature has regenerative power and being immersed and sounded by the woods, rivers and mountains has always brought me back to the exploration of my creative journey.
As I share my work I hope that it inspires others, brings a sense of “place” or “moment” for them as they have done for me.
I look forward to meeting, connecting and engaging with you.
