I’m honoured to once again donate one of my original paintings to support the Ottawa Riverkeeper Gala.
Water has always been at the centre of my work. Lakes, rivers, canals, reflections, quiet inlets, and the connection they create between people and place have inspired much of what I paint. To me, all water is connected.
The Ottawa River and the Rideau Canal continue to be major sources of inspiration in my work. I’ve always loved how the Rideau Canal flows into the Ottawa River at Rideau Falls. In fact, “Rideau” is the French word for curtain, named after the curtain like appearance of the falls where the rivers meet. It’s one of those small but meaningful details that reminds us how deeply connected Ottawa’s history, waterways, and landscapes truly are.
Giving back through art has also become an important part of my practice through my Canvases of Kindness initiative
This year, I donated:
“Brown’s Inlet – The Glebe Ottawa Series”
24” x 38” Acrylic on Canvas

The painting captures one of Ottawa’s most peaceful and recognizable waterways in the heart of the Glebe. It reflects so much of what inspires my work: community, nature, stillness, and the importance of protecting the places around us.
The piece is being auctioned as part of the Ottawa Riverkeeper Gala, with proceeds helping protect the health of the Ottawa River and its tributaries for future generations.

Thank you, as always, for supporting my work and the organizations helping protect the waterways and landscapes that inspire it.
