STOLEN HOURS

The Blue House
I’m excited to invite you back to The Blue House for my new solo show, Stolen Hours, on Sunday, October 25, 2026. Join me from 11 AM to 5 PM for a new collection of paintings inspired by the places and moments we so often pass by without really stopping to see.
What to Expect
Life moves quickly. We travel through places, look out across the water, walk beneath the trees and watch the light change, but rarely give ourselves the time to simply stop and take it all in.
Stolen Hours is about capturing those moments.
A place, a view, a moment in time that makes you stop and take it in. These paintings are about those moments and the places that stay with us.
This new collection brings together work created over the past year, from familiar landscapes to places I’ve discovered along the way. There are windswept pines, rocky shorelines, quiet water and big skies, but I’ve also been pushing my work in new directions with stronger colour, movement and light.
And, as always, The Blue House gives me the opportunity to bring all of these paintings together in one place and share the stories behind them.

More on the Concept of Stolen Hours
The idea for Stolen Hours came from something I think many of us experience. We’re busy. We move quickly from one thing to the next, and it can be easy to pass through beautiful places without really taking the time to see them.
Painting makes me stop.
It makes me look more closely at the shape of a tree, the movement of water, the colour in a rock or the way light can completely change a familiar landscape.
There’s another meaning behind the title for me as well. Finding time to paint often means stealing a few hours from a busy life and disappearing into the studio. Those hours have become incredibly important to me. They give me the opportunity to slow down, reconnect with the places I love and put something of that experience onto canvas.
In that sense, every painting in this collection represents its own stolen hours: a moment noticed, time set aside, and a place remembered.
I hope the collection encourages you to slow down for a little while too.
Come spend a few Stolen Hours with me at The Blue House.
looking forward to seeing you.
